Students work to develop and create designs through the design process. They explore practical, functional and aesthetic aspects of product and spatial designs and visually communicate these to an audience. There is a strong emphasis on using freehand sketching to generate, develop and communicate creative solutions to design briefs. Design solutions are then formally drawn using instrumental drawing.
