Year 9 Textile Technology

Prerequisite: Nil

Textile Technology students will learn practical skills and how to use the design process to develop products to be fit for purpose. Students will learn how to use different machines and equipment to complete two projects using textile materials, a barrel bag and a pair of pyjama shorts. All materials will be supplied except for major projects where students will be responsible for purchasing their own materials. Students will engage with problem solving techniques and become familiar with following a construction process through the development of their projects.
