Textile Technology
Students learn and develop skills, techniques and terminology to plan and manage practical projects in soft materials. Working from a brief students will be using the design process to create a product that is fit for purpose. Students will complete 2 projects, including a summer garment and a personalised, screen printed or embroidered hoodie, through which they will learn sustainable and innovative practices. They will develop skills using the sewing machines, over lockers, and other specialty machines in the Textiles classroom. This subject teaches students to engage their creative brain through experimentation and problem solving.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Materials $40 per semester course plus materials for major projects.
