History
Studying History provides a sound foundation for all career paths. Students taking this course will learn how to: develop clear, critical thinking; collect information; recognise differing points of view; and detect bias and propaganda. Students learn how individuals influence history and will be challenged to reflect on the successes and mistakes of the past in order to be better prepared for the future.
We study at least three of the following topics:
- Charlie in the Jungle - Vietnam War.
- Salvation by Grace Through Faith – The Reformation.
- For King and Country - Battles of WW1
- Workers of World Unite! - Russian Revolution.
- The Aztec Empire and its collapse

Prior Learning
- Prerequisite: Have achieved at least 4 of the assessments (at least 1 must be from the exam) in Year 11 History, or Year 11 English. Or at the discretion of the TIC of History.
