Year 10 Art

Pre-requisites: Nil

Year 10 Art offers a selection from the following fields: Drawing, Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture.

By studying Year 10 Visual Art, students will explore, refine, and communicate their own artistic ideas by responding to how Art expresses identity, culture and perspectives.  Students will apply knowledge of selected artists’ conventions, using a range of wet and dry media and techniques, in the production of artwork. They will learn to generate, develop and refine ideas, in response to a variety of motivations, including the study of established practice. 

Students will visit the local Tauranga Art Gallery as they explore artist models work in context.
