Visual Art - Photography

Prerequisite: 16 credits in Level 2 Photography or at the discretion of the HOD.

Students will produce photographic images as a result of a study of past and present photographic practice. They will be expected to generate, refine and extend ideas and techniques in their photographic work. They will produce a body of work within Photography to demonstrate understanding of art-making conventions. Study will be in depth.




Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Materials $150 - $300 approx. (to cover the cost of film, photographic paper and digital printing).
Possible gallery/art trip $50 – 150 range.
35mm DSLR camera.
Laptop - Please refer to the school website for the computer specifications for this subject.
Adobe Creative Cloud licenses will be available; the annual cost is approximately $10
Whilst the department has a limited number of cameras, they may not always be readily available for student use. Therefore, students are encouraged to bring their own camera. Students will sign a contract if borrowing department camera and lighting equipment.
